First ASAF General Forum 10 April – latest updates

The first ASAF General Forum will take place online on 10 April 2021 from 10 am to 3:30 pm CEST/CAT. More than 160 ASAF members already registered for the event, Commissioners from the European and African Union are expected to take part in the event.

The African Students and Alumni Forum (ASAF) will hold its first ASAF General Forum virtually on 10 April from 10am to 3:30pm CEST/CAT.

More than 160 interested ASAF members already registered for the bilingual event (English/French), which will be officially opened with a message from Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth,.

Afterwards, a significant part will be dedicated to the so-called ASAF Open Forum. Participants will have the opportunity to join two out of seven different sessions (45 minutes each) on a wide range of topics such as African entrepreneurship or international learning experience.

Finally, the event will be closed with a speech by H.E. Prof Sarah Anyang Agbor (tbc),

African Union Commissioner on Human Resources, Science and Technology (HRST).

The first ASAF General Forum aims at presenting ASAF and its mission, milestones and strategy as well as at offering an outlook to the future of the African Students and Alumni Forum. A cultural programme is also included.
