ASAF drives Green Entrepreneurship in Mozambique
ASAF, in collaboration with local partners, successfully conducted a two-day environmental and entrepreneurship initiative in Maputo, engaging over 200 participants in cleanup activities.
On 10 December 2025, ASAF led the “Initiative for Green Entrepreneurship and Community Environmental Action” in Maputo, Mozambique. The event focused on grassroots environmental restoration.
Over two days, 200 participants — including ASAF members, local residents, unemployed youth, university students and institutional representatives — worked together to clean and restore two public spaces in the Xipamanine and Fajardo neighborhoods. Through hands-on training sessions, attendees learned practical waste management and recycling skills and explored opportunities in green business development. Activities included:
- The restoration of two public spaces
- 16 hours of voluntary service contributed by ASAF members
- Development of a community environmental action plan
- Establishment of a network of local environmental champions
The initiative demonstrated a successful integration of environmental action, entrepreneurial training, and EU awareness — a model that can be replicated in other communities.
